We love pickleball! But, we know that pickleball has 2 major problems, which we are working hard to solve!

PROBLEM #1
Court Availability. Ever played down at your local courts on a summer day? You’ll rapidly find that some players abuse public courts, which causes a poor experience for everyone! While some courts have a “paddle system” to ensure that courts properly rotate, these systems depend solely on players’ goodwill and ability to judge fair play, and in consequence, fall prey to the same bad actors who monopolized the courts to begin with.

OUR SOLUTION:
We are building a technological solution to this problem that removes human error from the equation. Our solution consists of special electronic devices and smart software that allows fair use of the courts by all members of the public, while providing valuable data to cities and municipalities to aid in the management of these public facilities.

PROBLEM #2
Pickleball Waste. Unfortunately, for its many benefits, pickleball is uniquely bad for the earth when it comes to plastic waste! The pickleball is currently discarded into the trash as soon as cracks affecting play are noticed, and these hardened plastic spheres head to a landfill.

OUR SOLUTION:
We are currently working with pickleball clubs and cities to provide pickleball collection bins where cracked and worn pickleballs can be discarded in an earth-friendly way. Traditional recycling of these balls is not currently an economically-viable project, but we have identified alternative ways to repurpose this plastic so it can find a minimum of 1 more use before being discarded and in many cases avoid the landfill altogether. You can support us in this effort by using our bins for your broken balls, and by requesting that your local club or park adds our bins! You can also shop at www.goofypickles.com, where 100% of our proceeds go to adding more pickleball recycling bins to existing courts!
